Problem :

As a new consultancy, CS Ventures Ltd needed a brand identity that felt professional and credible while still reflecting the company's focus on innovation.

The existing branding lacked a consistent visual style, making it difficult to create a strong and recognisable presence across different touchpoints.

The project focused on creating a more cohesive brand identity and digital presence that the company could use consistently as it established itself.

Research :

I looked at consultancy and B2B brands to understand how they use visual identity to communicate trust and professionalism.

This included:

  • Comparing competitor consultancy websites and their visual identities

  • Looking at how colour, typography and layout were used across the sector

  • Exploring different approaches to creating a brand that felt professional without being too corporate

  • Analysing how similar companies structured their websites and messaging

What I found:

  • Consultancy brands often use clear layouts and consistent visual systems to communicate professionalism.

  • Typography and colour play an important role in how a brand feels and is perceived.

  • The strongest examples balanced professionalism with a more approachable personality, rather than feeling overly formal.

These findings helped shape a visual direction that was clear, professional and approachable, while giving CS Ventures a consistent identity to use across its brand and website.

Solution :

I developed a new visual identity and website direction for CS Ventures Ltd, focusing on making the brand feel clear, professional and approachable.

The solution included:

  • A refined colour palette of orange, brown, black, cream and white

  • A more structured layout to make information easier to scan and navigate

  • A consistent visual style across the brand and digital touchpoints

  • A refreshed identity that gave CS Ventures a more modern and distinctive presence

For the website, I focused on creating a clearer information hierarchy and more consistent visual flow, making it easier for visitors to understand the company and its services.

Challenge :

The main challenge was finding the right balance between making CS Ventures feel modern and distinctive without losing the professionalism expected from a consultancy.

I also needed to make sure the identity:

  • Felt different from more traditional consultancy brands while still being credible

  • Could work consistently across digital and printed materials

  • Connected the visual identity and website, rather than feeling like two separate pieces

This meant paying close attention to colour, typography, layout and tone so that the brand felt consistent wherever it was used.

Constraints :

CS Ventures was a newly formed consultancy, so the brand needed to be built from the ground up rather than developed from an existing identity.

The main considerations were:

  • Creating a visual identity with no established brand system to build from

  • Making the brand flexible enough to work across different sectors and types of clients

  • Designing an identity that could scale across digital and future print applications

  • Bringing the new branding into the website without compromising usability

These considerations led me to keep the identity simple, flexible and easy to apply consistently across different parts of the brand.

Outcome :

The final outcome was a cohesive brand identity and website for CS Ventures Ltd, giving the newly established consultancy a clear visual direction to build from.

The redesigned system:

  • Creates a consistent visual language across the brand and website

  • Gives the company a more modern and distinctive presence

  • Uses clearer structure and hierarchy to organise information on the website

  • Provides a flexible identity that can be carried across future digital and print applications

The project brought the brand identity and website together as one consistent experience, giving CS Ventures a stronger foundation as the company developed.
